Challenger is a classic British hop variety, developed in the UK and widely used in traditional English brewing. Challenger has a little more hop presence than Fuggle or Goldings, with earthy, herbal and spicy notes alongside gentle floral and citrus character. It works particularly well when you want a traditional English hop profile with a little extra depth and intensity.

Challenger pairs naturally with other British hops. Combine it with Fuggle for a classic earthy and herbal character, or use it alongside East Kent Goldings to bring a softer floral note to the finished beer.
