Grange Over Sands countryside

We supply top quality, fresh ingredients from grains and yeast to hops and kits that take you from grain to glass. Our beer kits are tried and tested, inspired by the array of brewing excellence that surrounds us.

As homebrewers, we understand the processes and the ingredients needed to help you create that glass of perfection.

I started brewing during the first lockdown and was instantly hooked. I quickly evolved from brewing with an extract kit, to part grain brewing and then to becoming an all-grain brewer. I have gone down the usual paths; bottling to kegging, making my own keggerator and the temperature-controlled fridge. I have a technical background and love the opportunity to tinker, create and build things. Those early brews with that home brew twang. The mistakes! The close encounter of the malt extract kit with the washing machine and 5 years of sticky buttons. I can highly recommend the durability of AEG.

I want to help homebrewers on their own journey through a hobby that I find so enjoyable and fascinating...

...Turning something that I enjoy into (hopefully) a new job and giving a little back to the home brew community. Homebrewing fulfils every sense at every part of the process from tasting your grains to smelling those glorious hops. The smell of the brew day! The great feel and sound of cracking open that bottle, standing in front of your keggerator pouring your own beer gives a buzz of achievement every single time. Finally, the aroma and taste of our beautiful beer, all in knowledge that we've created something truly epic. Looking forward to brewing this journey together.

Cheers, Steve

A Mancunian surrounded by iconic beers and breweries; Joseph Holts, Boddingtons, Hydes and John Willy Lees (most of which have since disappeared) and a CAMRA member since my student days. I didn’t drink cider or lager, preferring a pint of real ale, and with my parents being from Yorkshire Theakston’s and Timothy Taylors heavily featured too. It’s fantastic to see the rise of craft beers, packed with flavours and what a range there is on offer. I’ve found myself becoming partial to sours, and beers with notes of mango and passionfruit.  I now appear to be assistant brewer and chief taster, discussing mouth feel and hop aromas, hoping to identify notes of mango and passionfruit!

Brewing at home, be that beer, cider or wine, is a truly magical adventure even with a few slip-ups along the way...

...I spent hours cleaning that washing machine!

Cheers, Kath
