American Shoes American Pale Ale All Grain Beer Kit

This kit is a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale clone. Sierra Nevada have released the recipe and it's available on their website.

During the first lockdown back in early 2020 I decided to start brewing, probably like many other people on furlough. I however, became hooked on the hobby not only for the results but the processes involved. 

At the start I set myself a little goal of brewing a decent SNPA. This is my take on the recipe. Hop wise I stick with Cascade through out the process whilst various other recipies use alternatives. My take is "if it isn't broken don't fix it".

Why have I called it American Shoes? Well that is a tip of the hat towards my late mother-in-law and her American Shoes. The ones she bought in Stretford, Manchester for her holiday in America visiting family. From that point on they were known as THE American shoes. It seemed a fitting tribute to name a great beer after my great mother-in-law. Cheers Pat.
